Budget: £0
Brief: Update the reception area to make it more welcoming and profitable.
Results: Created the feel of a family living room, whilst infusing an ocean tone and adding more retail space. Gave a much more tidy, breathable feel. Upcycled donated furniture, and drastically increased the retail display space. Brought some social media and charity history into the space, making the marketing more consistent across the brand. Kept plenty of seating, and donated artwork.

Budget: £200
Brief: Update the shop to maximise the retail space and revenue. A French Country Cottage theme was chosen to fit with the local area demographic. Create large areas for furniture to be sold, and brighten up the space. Host a launch evening with local live performances.
Result: Added 30% more retail space by converting a back room into floor space. Had over 300 hours of professional (e.g. carpenters) time donated. Refurbishment completed within 7 days. Sales increased by the most out of any project I've undertaken. Dramatically increased the light levels in the room by painting the floor with (donated) bright industrial floor paint.

Budget: £3000 (£2000 of which was carpet and lighting)
Brief: Create a vibrant, one of a kind retail space to attract in the local student community. Work with local artists to built connections with the area. Replace the lighting to brighten up the space and showcase the products. Host a launch evening with local live performances.
Results: Dramatically transformed space from drab and overcrowded and bright and creative. Kept almost all of the rail space but created a much more breathable feel. Covered all the walls in chipboard and brought in local graffiti artist to do custom mural, and local illustrator to decorate counter and fitting room. Hugely successful launch evening with over 200 people attending. Created interactive Bucket List wall, as well as more space to sell furniture and accessories.

Brief: Organise a fashion show using only charity shop clothes, to promote sustainable shopping. Recruit models and a compere, style the outfits, book performers for the interval, source a venue and refreshments free of charge. Draw income from selling tickets, as well as clothes during the event.
Results: Over 500 people attended raising around £2500. 20 models took part - ranging from semi professional to shop volunteers and charity staff. Makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, performers, and raffle prizes all donated time and resources free of charge. Sold charity shop clothes during the event to increase awareness, and gained excellent blogger coverage.

Brief: Maximise the small space to showcase bric-a-brac and clothing. Replace the lighting and create a strong brand image for the charity. Host a launch evening with local live performances.
Results: Vision combined personality of new shop manager, with charity's new creative direction. Created a London theme to attract tourists and entertain locals. Shop only closed for 6 days for refurbishment. Uncovered Grade II Listed ceiling, hidden by old ceiling tiles, and left on display for the public to enjoy. Significantly better layout and floor space achieved, and fitting room turned into a phone box! Visual Merchandising training given. Back rooms also overhauled, redecorated, and reorganised.

julia's house POP UP SHOP

Brief: Convert a disused Starbucks in the Barclay's offices into a retail space. Select stock from other branches in the chain, and staff the shop for a month. Generate as much income and relationships as possible.
Results: Raised over £3000 in one month from a very limited audience (Barclays office staff only). Personally sourced all stock and furniture from warehouse donations, merchandised shop, ran the shop 5 days a week, and created/distributed promotional materials and events throughout the building. Held a launch party with a professional photographer photo booth, and created a beauty parlour for treatments during work hours.
